A Custom Borescope Manufacturer Offers a Valuable Perspective on Your Industrial Processes
Borescopes were immediately adopted by modern industry when they were introduced in 1920 to inspect huge steam turbines. The capability to observe industrial processes remotely through miniature cameras enables inspectors to monitor processes more closely and more safely, and the advantages were quickly incorporated into many types of industries. As rigid borescopes became more widely used, it became apparent that units with a longer working length could be a valuable inspection tool in certain applications. Sectional extendable borescope manufacturers have stepped in to address this need with an innovative design. These modular units allow the user to add extender sections to extend and vary the working lengths.
Fiberoptic Borescope System and Boiler Inspection Borescope
The Universal Inspector fiberoptic borescope system is designed to provide a convenient way to add additional components as needs change.

- Two models:
- a diameter of 23 mm and a working length of 28 in.
- a diameter of 35 mm and working length of 53 in. The instruments consist of two sections that are threaded together. When you need to increase the working length, you simply unthread the two sections and add one or more extender sections. By adding extender sections, you can increase the working length up to 1200 in.
- probe body and eyepiece with adjustable focus, right-angle viewing head with objective lens (usually 55degree field of view, although fields of view from 15 degrees to 180 degrees are available),
- variable transformer
- spare incandescent lamps (a black light attachment is one of many accessories available)
- fitted protective case
- Threaded extender sections are available in 36 in. and 60 in. lengths.
- five different optional interchangeable viewing heads.
- digital and video adaptable.
Fiberoptic Borescope System and Boiler Inspection Borescope
The Universal Inspector fiberoptic borescope system is designed to provide a convenient way to add additional components as needs change.
- Can replace up to 18 conventional rigid borescopes with one affordable, convenient, state-of-the-art system.
- Can enter through openings as small as 4 mm, go in up to 60 in.
- Can inspect via direct, right angle, forward oblique or retrospective viewing angles with 10º to 85º fields of view and 360º orbital viewing.
- The heart of the system is the universal eyepiece assembly that includes a universal scope and focus control.
- Rotatable objective sleeve attachment (available in right angle, forward oblique and retrospective viewing) completes the system.
- objective sleeve can be replaced, and the fiberoptic borescope system can be quickly expanded and reconfigured by replacing the with one or more thread-on extensions and one of six objective viewing heads.
